A Sad Dream

Updated on October 5, 2014

Sweet Dreams my love.
Your name on my lips.
The moonlight above.
Your hands on my hips.

A happy sigh,
such a beautiful place.
I try not to cry
as a tear slides down my face.

Your arms wrap around me
as you hold me with care.
My head says this is how it should be
but my heart is still filled with fear.

Ghost from the past,
memories of pain,
telling me it won't last
and driving me insane.

Don't I deserve to be loved?
I want to shout.
Wishing on the starts above.
My heart cries out.

As I drift off to sleep,
a soft snore reaches my ears,
knowing my secrets you will keep.
For the moment, winning the battle against my fears.

I wake up in bed all alone
and at the ceiling I stare.
I realized that you were not gone
because you had never been there.

I hug the pillow tight
as the tears start to fall.
I wish with all my might
as I give in and ball.

I really enjoyed this! A job well done. You help the reader feel the emotions you write of.

Oh, that is sad. Here I am thinking of the grandeur of love, and then I find it is only a facade. Thank you for sharing.

Spiritual development is craiucl in teenagers. In fact, I believe a parent should begin to teach his or her child about their faith at a very early age. Character is essential for our children to grow up and become productive citizens. When teens develop a strong faith in God, it serves as a guide to help them make better choices in life. Of course, most teens will fall for some peer pressure, but faith in God will help teens to also avoid many pitfalls. As a christian parent, I consistently have bible study in a fun way with my 9 year old son. I want him to have a strong foundation in Christ. Character is craiucl.
