A Satirical Poem - Expect the Unexpected
Birds eye view

Expect the Unexpected
You put me on a pedestal
So high I could reach the sky
Perched on my footstool
Having a bird’s eye view
But the distance makes me wary
For clouds threaten to cover
All there is to see
Out of nowhere a shrieking cry is heard
But the sound is muffled
By the thunderstorms
That terrorize the placidity
And the endless chatter of the hails
Ominous and foreboding
Darkening the sight
The scene goes bleak, covered everything
Confusion sinks in
Afraid to step up a notch higher
Hesitant to go down whilst it’ll drown
What now? It asked
Will there be an end to this bedlam?
A consolation for this desolate feeling!
Ces’t mavie! You always expect
Yet the unexpected steals the scene
Sometimes the feeling is ethereal
There is only full bliss
Yet despair is lurking
Hiding behind the curtain
Juggling the spin balls of life
Would take all your time
Is it really worth it?
It asked, just be ready
It answered back, it is here now
Tomorrow it will be gone
Don’t expect it to come back
Que sera! Sera! Life will always that be…
Some of it's pictures were taken when I was on board an airplane...
