My Life of Haiku

my Father holds me

this baby hears his heartbeat

my Mother leaves him


my Mother takes me

Father doesn't know we left

his home now empty


Father drinks whiskey

part of him died when I left

it never comes back


Mother can't keep me

her illness takes over her

her heart now empty


Father takes me home

he still drinks his life away

he forgets to love


Step Mother hits me

her touch is cold without love

Father doesn't know


a cloud takes over me

easy things become struggle

family blames me

working
