A Soldier Who Killed An Ant

Updated on June 25, 2013

A soldier in the middle east
Aimed a gun at an ant’ s head
Bang! And shot it mercilessly right through
Leaving rules and conscience apart.

Oh! But it was so blessed mission
baptized by the congress
and our bootlickers

So much spark it had in all
And what then? The ant blown up
Into the air it vanished
Cold morning so early
..Christmas time

No need, my friend, for that sorrow
Those crocodile tears
Look in the hole the bullet made there.

Hmmm.. James, I fear you are getting caught up in the politics of the war and losing your writing voice trying to express your outrage while losing your following.

but that is just my opinion..

      Michael,

Thanks for your opinion.I really don t give a f..i..g about it.I am a cosmopolitan, basically free of prejudices and stereotyping traits.Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self.I write to please myself, not others or for money.I am not a fan of romanticism,I am into realism.Hubbers here are much into romanticism ,food recipes and how to deal or make..articles.This is an American website and Americans are much involved in their own affairs, unmindful of what is happening outside the country.Of course they are some exceptions like you,cat,faith,debbie,issac,epiman,dreamseker,..There are some works here that really dont deserve to be in the hall of fame:)

free of stereotypes and prejudices.. ??? now that is open to debate... for if you can not listen to others opinions isn't that a prejudice.? You then go on to stereotype Americans and demean their writing in particular .. which is shallow and delusional .

      thanks for insight .!

      Micheal,

Don t get me wrong!I am not judgmental or an intelectual snob.I can coexist with different cultures,religions..I am Moroccan but not chauvinist.I listen to sane as well as insane but I accept only what is built on the reasonable thesis.I dont demean American Hubbers writing, but I was wondering how can people a clear majority of Americans in the prime of their “intellectual” lives, in the richest society with ample idle time just unplug from the world? that is kind of selfcentered. What baffles and disturbs me is that they’re much more interested in Tom Cruise’s baby or Paris Hilton than issues and ideas of substance

At the time of founding fathers education was largely restricted to a wealthy few, especially collegiate-level classes. And society was largely agrarian, with many people still working from dawn-to-dusk on farmland during spring, summer and fall.No TV, no radio and daily newspapers were somewhat restricted to cities. Books expensive even though the level of education and intellectual participation was pretty incredible.

Do you see my scribble called: My confession:How vulnerable I am!When I published it, the Hubpages featured it as it didnt meet their standard of quality, asking me to add some improvments but when it hunted :) 54 comments, they automatically featured it as good quality. Is this the a fair measure of quality

So .. you blame american society for hubpages applying the rules to your work thatthey apply to everyone else. What baffles me is you are Morroccan and you continue to rant for syria , blaming everyone else for letting this genocide happen and when and if the U.S does take action thwey will be blamed for not doing enough or doing too much,, which is it ,,? The U.S. should just stay out of that mess and let the people sort it out . Just like here in America... people have voted Obama in and now they see the wolf in sheeps clothing that he really is .. killing the economy , paying off his cronies, the people are struggling but he takes vacations in Africa .. America is considered weak now ..by the russians ,the chinese and the rest of the world because of Obama . .. so we have our own problems ..why should we forget our problems to fix someone else's country .?

I am not here for accumulating accolades or money.I am here to earn friends and I think I got a best one.You Michael! Many blessings to you!

Why I continue ranting for Syria ?

We Muslims are emotionally attached to each other. If Muslims treated badly in Russia,Muslims from South Africa feel sad and wish to go to help.

The Prophet Peace Be Upon Him described the Muslims as one body,if one member becomes sick then the other members of this one body will take care of the sick one:

"The Believers, in their mutual love, mercy and compassion, are like one body: if one organ complained, the rest of the body develops a fever." (Bukhari & Muslim)

The media outlets and internet have no shortage of news revealing the turmoil that Muslims are living in around the world: from occupation of Muslim lands to the dire poverty of our brothers and sisters. This is where a sense of brotherhood becomes the vital connection between Muslims around the globe. It is our obligation to be politically and intellectually aware of all affairs impacting Muslims everywhere. Allah has described the believer as a brother to another believer, and therefore it should pain us - just as it would if it were our own blood brother - when we read about the plight of our fellow Muslims.

The Prophet Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him also said about brotherhood: "None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself." (Bukhari & Muslim)

Let me give you an example,When The Prophet Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him and his Companions immigrated from Mecca to Madina ,He built a Mosque. The Prophet Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him proceeded to establish one of the main pillars of an Islamic community - brotherhood. He paired up the Muhajireen(Meccains) and Ansar( Muslims of Madinah), who were virtual strangers to each other prior to this. The two groups understood and accepted the responsibilities that came with this pairing, leading to unique acts, such as sharing wealth and other brotherly deeds, which helped ease the difficulties facing the Muhajireen who left everything behind in Mecca.

This action had brought about a profound transformation in perception of what brotherhood means between members of the Muslim community. It redefined the concept of brotherhood beyond the typical understanding of blood or tribal relationships. This was clearly demonstrated by Musab Ibn Umayr when he found his blood brother Abu Azeez ,who was among those captured during the battle of Badr. Upon reaching Madinah, Abu 'Azeez was lodged with Abu Yusr Alansari, and Musab ibn Umayr said to Abu Yusr: "Treat him harshly, for his mother is a wealthy woman." Abu Azeez said: "Brother is it for you to give this counsel?" "You are not my brother," replied Musab, "my brother is the one who is tying up your hands." (Ibn Hisham)

Sadly, one of the issues facing Muslims is West life style "life in the fast lane," and due to this lifestyle, we tend to rush our dealings with one another. We should, for example, try to take a few minutes after Jumah(a prayer of Midday) and other prayers and greet our brothers next to us with Salaam, and introduce ourselves to them. We should neither be shy nor be afraid of a cold response, keeping in mind that we are only seeking the pleasure of Allah and following the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohamed Peace Be Upon Him.

The West are afraid of Islam and Muslims, have you asked yourself why ?Leave Fox and the rest Media aside. If you examine the West s fear of Islam, and tries to relate it to the reasons usually given :Muslim fundamentalism, militancy, radicalism, terrorism, totalitarianism , it is difficult, if not impossible, to justify this fear on the basis of reasons given. Why?more acts of terrorism and violent crime in the U.S., according to government statistics, are committed by non-Muslims than Muslims. And if Muslims do pose a terrorist threat to the U.S., one hears little discussion of what it is that the terrorists really want, all they want is for the West to stop interfering in their countries and be fair in dealing with the Israelpalestinian conflict.

Islamic law is based upon the Quran, examples and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, analogical deduction, consensus among the learned, and individual reasoning. When the Prophet's contemporaries heard the words islam and muslim, they understood them as denoting man's "self-surrender to God" and "one who surrenders himself to God," without limiting himself to any specific community or denomination.Marshall G. S. Hodgson, in Rethinking World History, states: "(Islam's) conscious hopes for a godly world order represent one of the most remarkable undertakings in world history and because its less self-conscious general cultural heritage is laden with human values." Muslims see the West beset with broken families, violent crime, drugs. They see a society divided by race, religion, and huge disparities in income. They long for a peaceful life in which they may provide for the basic needs of their families, and enjoy the respect due to all mankind regardless of their race, religion, position, or wealth. The Muslims that West called them Radicals or Terrorists are those who see their goals for a more just and compassionate society thwarted by a corrupt Muslim elite who pursue wealth and power regardless of the cost to their fellow human beings. They see these elites, who govern not by consensus as Islam prescribes, permitting outside powers to exploit their country while they derive few benefits, and find themselves subordinated by Western influences .

I will comment on your comment concerning Obama.

we are all human beings , religion has killed more people on this earth than any other cause or event , that is where we must begin.. to tell me about religion ....to justify why muslims do evil to one another is just repeating the obvious.

I dont know why do you Americans blame Obama for the bad times you are facing there nowadays? It s not all his fault.he has been kept busy cleaning up the economic and geopolitical mess left behind by George W. Bush. He had to go to Africa to protect America s reliable allies in Sub saharan countries because there is a flood of Chinese investment.F..o .r fur..ther inform..ation,check my hub: French Intervention in Mali:The Hidden Truths Revealed.

Muslim wars were not barbarous and Muslims didn't force people to convert in Islam. They fought only defending themselves (Crusade wars,When they abuse a Muslim in a foreign land ).If Islam was spread by sword, can you tell me

.How come More than 80% of the population of India are non-Muslims,bearing in mind that the Muslims ruled it for about a thousand years?

.Which Muslim army conquered Indonesia ?

.How come the conversion to Islam happened in the absence of any Islamic state in Malaysia?

.What makes Tony Blair `s sister-in-law ,Lauren Booth ,to convert to Islam?

My comment on( to justify why muslims do evil to one another is just repeating the obvious) is in this hub:

James , obama has been in office for 5 .. yes FIVE Years .. I know you love him because he is sympathetic to everyonr but Americans , but he is the person who has kept most of the people who George Bush had in power still there.! George Bush is gone ...please stop blaming him for our troubles for the last five years . The trith is that bObama has suppressed our economy with rehgulations and is in the process of slowly eroding all Americans rights , you have been reading the liberal blogs to much my friend .. he has you blinded , if he was so goood why did he not help the popular revolt in Iran when he had a chance ? Why did he not help the libiyans when they needed help ? Why isn't he helping the people of SYRIA?? Why Isn't he helping the people of SYRIA.. ????why is he hurting the American people by not approving pipelines that create jobs .. Why doesn't he free the enteprenuers to start economic progress which would help all of the world.? Because he is an elitist who wants to change the world according to what he thinks the Americans have done to the rest of the world .. thats why we have no economic progress in the world, because the world goes according to how the UNITED STATES goes. .. Why are India and China known as the biggest polluters in the world .? you don't know the truth of the world because you have to take your OBAMA blinders off.

      Cleaner 3,

What do you mean by ( I know you love him because he is sympathetic to everyonr but Americans ) Are you referring to his Islamic origin? If that what you meant by that means that all Muslims are Anti-Americans.That s not true, all Muslims love you,but they hate your foreign policy to the Middle east. How you deal with the Israel-Palestinian conflict .

I am not a fan of Liberal nor Democratic party.I love peace and I call for world coexistence. My opinion about Obama is here ,you can check this link below:

      http://james-wolve.hubpages.com/question/206637/ne...

Why till now ,after 2 years ,Obama thinks to move to save Syrians?why after 100 000 people killed ?and in Iran it wasnt that horrible like in Syria and something funny just got in my mind:It seems USA moves to save people till the death poll reaches 100 000.If Iran death poll reached that level in that time.I think USA would act to save the Iranians

all actions bring reactions .. until all sides will recognize the rights of others .. the right to freedom and peaceful co-existence, there will never be peace in the world .. religion in all forms has caused more deaths in world history than any other cause. Whether islamic or christian..

      Religion is used against man.

This world is under the same leadership it was 3,000 years ago at least. That is what written history tells us.

I see the main purpose of religion is to recruit more people to the religion.

The religious, the atheists, the moral, and the immoral, and all in between are being taken in by the TWO parties which have one goal.

      Micky Dee and Michael,

(Dee)What do you mean by :And a butterfly flapped its wing

Religion was never against man,but man was against man.All religions are about peace Religion is not the problem in itself, the people who misinterpret religion is the problem. To be completely morally correct one must follow the laws of God. He has commanded us a way of living that we cannot bypass. One can live a moral life to the best of their abilities, but without giving God his due rights and living in the way that HE has prescribed, one has not lived in the way he was created to. What is morally correct to one may not be morally correct to another. We live in a time where everything is permissible. Most do not live by Gods laws, many live by their own laws! You have some people who deny the existence of God altogether but they would consider themselves good, upright, and moral people. Why? Because they give to the poor, do not hurt peopl and they feed the animals? You have Christians who do not follow the laws that Jesus(peace be upon him)himself came with. Just as you have Muslims and Jews who do the opposite of what was commanded. God/Allah did not create us to dwell on this earth without giving us exact instructions on how to live on earth. Throughout time God has told Man again and again worship me alone, and do not set up partners with me. One may not believe this to be the truth and go on to be the best person that they are able to be on this earth, but that does not negate any of what God has commanded us to do or to stay away from. Nor does it mean that we can worship whoever and how we please. There is no real moral life without proper knowledge of the creator and following his commandments.

Jesus does not and did not have a religion. He was indeed from Jewish ancestry. If someone is looking for an argument about how God or politics - good luck.

I'm 64 years of age. I'm a Vietnam Veteran. I wish all those who wish to "set me straight about God, my country, and politics" - good luck with that.

I wish your writing and all of your lives to prosper. That's that Golden Rule that every religion has and every religion finds it the hardest to keep.

I keep God's greatest law to the best of my ability and try to stay anchored in the truth.

But this world is a slippery slope. This world is "rigged" in some fashion.

Truth should be celebrated. Truths should be in abundance instead of the lies that bombard and distort.

We have the same "leadership" today as when Jesus was tempted and the same leadership since recorded history.

If Earth was not under an evil hand when Jesus lived then Jesus would not have been offered a role in the "leadership".

I've worn many hats. I've seen way too much to put faith in this world and people.

      Micky Dee,

“Indeed, We have sent a messenger to every nation (saying), ‘Worship God and avoid false gods...’” (Quran 16:36),,,,

But as time passed the message got corrupted and humans started worshiping False Gods.,.,.So again the message was sent through new Messenger,,, so Allah says :

“Corruption has appeared in the land and the sea because of what the hands of people have earned.” (Quran 30:41)

“Then woe to those who write the book with their own hands and then say: ‘This is from God’, to traffic with it for a miserable price. Woe to them for what their hands do write and for the gain they make thereby.” (Quran 2:79)

“And when there came to them a messenger from God, Confirming what was with them, a party of the people of the book threw away the book of God behind their backs as if (it had been something) they did not know.” (Quran 2:101)

“Have you not seen the one who takes his desires as his god?...” (Quran 45:23)

Amen. The truth is told in many Holy Books. The Golden Rule is in every one of them. It is God's greatest law. I believe in Christianity it reads close to - "Love your God above all else "and" love your neighbor as yourself". Yet it is not held the highest but "recruitment" seems to be the highest.

We pray, "Our Father, Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name, YOUR will be done, YOUR kingdom come (here) as it is in heaven..."

Heaven is not on this Earth but must come - in whatever explanation people want but we are told by The Teacher to pray as this.

We can merely look at the people for whom people vote to see that, for the time being anyway, whoever holds the best propaganda holds the crown. Give people freedom to be self-indulgent, sexually indulgent, idol indulgent - they will indulge and paint it all with the brightest colors.
