A Solitary Walk

Updated on August 15, 2013

Swirling waves shimmering in air;

a floating veil dancing through a shaft of sunlight.

Captivating shades of green once lost

reveling in a moment of silent pause

beneath the alluring canopy.

Touch a crystal melody along a stagnant lake.

Words as leaves swirl in the wind

fall forlorn in twisted piles lie beneath a weeping tree.

Still between lips and teeth, pristine moments close to the heart.

What are those words hidden deep amongst blanketed leaves?

Waiting to burst from forgotten seeds,

sprouting roots, forming buds with

every drop of long-lost dew?

Life speaking of love in silent refrains of color.
