A Sunday Climb
A Sunday Climb
I can do it
let me try
I’m a big girl now
It’s not that high.
I don’t need a boost
I can climb
Stand back and watch
I’ll be fine.
I’ve almost got it
I’m almost there
Just pull myself up
Ah, smell that air!
The world looks different
Upon my new perch
Where’s Mommy and Daddy?
Sister should have gone first.
She’s older and bigger
No doubt she’s more brave
I she her now, giggling
And she’s starting to wave.
Why do you look so small
Did you shrink sister dear?
Get off that swing
And get over here!
I think I’ve had enough
Seen what I wanted to see
Now Daddy if you don’t mind
Get me out of this stinkin’ tree!
