A Vignette of Imagination: Killing Loneliness

Updated on January 3, 2011

Killing Loneliness

Her heart races at the thought of them.  That seductive harlot will put her hands on him the way you used to.  She’ll lay on your pillow, filling his ears with all the lies he wants to hear so he can forget about you.  She will let him have his way with her.  She’ll moan his name and fall asleep in his arms where you used to lay; where you spent night after night talking with him and holding him.

You want to push her in front of a bus; not because you want to have him to yourself, but so no one else can.  He loved you unconditionally, but lacked the passion for life that you have.  It’s not his fault that he can’t have you, but you can’t let him go to just anyone else.
