Children's Poetry: A World of Childlike Dreams
Sealed in a vault,
Within my mind,
Resides a place,
Lost in time.
A place of mystical fantasy,
Of childlike dreams,
If exposed to the world,
It would rip at the seams.
This world I protect,
For it belongs not to me,
It belongs to my children.
For when they are in need.
Tea parties with the princess,
Playing knights of the round.
Celebrating first birthdays,
Or first touch downs.
This world is precious.
A treasure to behold,
Passed to each generation
To new
From old.
