Owl In The Snow
A Birds Eye View
From a birds eye view
Life is funny
Yet so strange
As I sit in a tree and watch,
those around me play
I have grown old in my day
As I smile and watch the others laugh and play
LIfe is funny
Yet so strange
I wish I could tell others what lessons to learn
What games not to play
As I sit on a cold branch
In mid winters day
The frost on the trees, the nip in the air
Reminds me that I am alive and God is near
From a birds eye view
Life is so funny
Yet so strange
Amazed and bewildered
By Gods grace
I smile and remind myself that
I am not the only bird in this place
An owl, a pigeon, a blue jay
Doesn't matter what the breed
Just that we are all together
On a spinning planet of greed
From a birds eye view
Life is so funny
Yet so strange
I have grown old in my day
How do I tell the others
That time is to be cherished and not waisted away
It is easy to take for granted
Those things that are planted
From a a seed
After all it is survival we seek
From a birds eye view
Life is so funny
Yet so strange
Its all about not giving up
And staying in the game
