A World of Such Wonders
We, as unique people, have so many fine religious choices,
Each of us deserves the chance in raising our own voices.
Everyone merits respect, no matter any one's persuasion,
Not a one should ever have to state, or give an explanation.
As a Christian, Jew, or of Islam, a Buddhist or of Hinduism,
There should be no discrimination, have never any schism!
Each one has the given right to worship as we all do please,
Many can't understand a difference, see a forest for its trees.
At Christmas, and at Hanukkah, Diwali, La Posada, or Ramadan,
Every faith revered and of a culture's heritage, a part of the band.
Each made up of wonderful people, a fine statement of humanity,
All a part of this beautiful world, that our God created in its entirety.
We all are brothers and sisters akin to each and with a loving heart.
Our Father and a Maker of us all, has meant everyone to be a part.
How we each do worship Him, in celestial realms throughout the sky,
Is up to us and the reason we care, upon His precepts we all do rely.
Each one of us was given a father and a mother, our family,
To raise us right, one another, and it is of our own certainty.
Placed upon this earth and given a home, as each remains,
Homes of our birth, shared around the lands, over the plains.
We were meant to get along and in showing respect of us all,
Always considering cultural differences, of the great, the small.
As we each one may pass away from our lives upon this earth,
We, one and all, know how we must work, in gaining our worth.
