So you're an aspiring writer, novelist or one of those other freelance writers out there, who well - fit in somewhere between one of those descriptions, or between a rock and a hard spot. On the other hand maybe you are already an accomplished Novelist with a few novels under his or her belt.

If you're anything like me than, you may be searching for a companion to help you finish your article, novel, or maybe that memoir. And complete it at a much quicker pace.

Have you ever heard of Scrivener? Well don't feel too bad, because I had no idea who the hell he was, or what this program was about , until I did a bit of research of my own. It turns out that Scrivener is not a companion, in the sense of a physical breathing and living companion.

Or any other pal for that matter, not excluding the pet dog. Who usually sits by your side late at night and helps keep you from falling asleep. During those long, long hours at your computer while the coffee just isn't doing the trick anymore!

So what is Scrivener? Scrivener in a nutshell is a unique and powerful software program for all writers, from all walks of life. This program helps you gather all of your work in an easy and organized fashion from start to finish.

And it does so unlike any other word processor, or writing platform out there. And believe it or not, it may even help us writers to avoid the company of a not so welcomed companion - writer's block.

Do you often find that your first few rough drafts end up in the trash, time after time again. Mainly because of being disorganized with your thoughts in the first place. A writing partner such as Scrivener can help put an end to this madness quickly

That is, if you believe that this foe of all writers really exists in the first place? For most of us, I believe writer's block is being preoccupied by this thought, and that writers block is something that we use as an excuse to getting started on that first novel, or finish an article that we Recently started.

That we may have been working overtime on for way too long. Regardless of the reasons, they are many and really too far fetched even for ones own imagination to come to fully understand.

Wikipedia gives a few different explanations of Scrivener. The first and the one that makes the most sense, at least to me. Is that Scrivener is a management system, for storing notes, documents and other types of data.

A second definition looks a bit more at how or what Scrivener derived from in the first place. Scrivener actually meant a person, scribe, or other similar types of persons who made their living for the most part; by writing legal related documents to the courts.

But enough of the definitions already and let's take a more in depth look at how this word processing program can actually simplify your life with a variety of easy to use program based writing and editing tools.

The ten minute video that I've included in my article, will serve as a teaching aide and coaching tutorial, if you prefer to call it that? And this tutorial if you will. Further will help to clarify how Scrivener can be very useful for any kind of writing that you enjoy creating. And do so in a fashion that is way better than I ever could explain to my readers in any article.

But before I go on and get all readers and writers too hot and bothered, by what scrivener may able to do to get your work completed. And all of the other wonderful things this software program can do for us writers.

I must forewarn you that it will cost you a forty dollar fee, to download the program to your Desktop, Laptop, or any other type of electronic component that you do your writing on. However you can also try Scrivener free for thirty days, to see if this program is all that it is claims to be.

Forty bucks may not seem like a lot of dough to many. But to some - it cold be a lot. Just so you're aware that scrivener is not a free download, because it's not. But believe me, once you get the hang of navigating through it's various word processing tools. You will come to realize that it's probably one of the best writing software tools, that you as a writer, had ever purchased, or possibly have ever used.

I decided to buy the program right from the start and download it to my windows based PC. Just for the reason that some of us work at another job, or have very busy lives. So with that said, you may need to purchase the program from the start, as I did. This will give you some time to read the included tutorial that comes with Scrivener and get accustomed to all of its features and capabilities, as the writer's ultimate tool and companion.

I do not want in any way, to tease any writers out there with the awesome capabilities that scrivener can provide as a unique word processor program. But when you come to learn how to manipulate the clipboard and chalk board tools for example.

Employ the inspector and manipulate and change various plots, scenes, characters and so on. Well basically - the sky's the limit. And there are endless possibilities that become readily available, as you put together your written work. From creation to completed product. I've started writing my own novel using Scrivener and realized that it compiled the first two chapters for me. By compile, I mean summarize.

It is without doubt what I like to refer to as - The Cool Writer's Tool! And you will soon find this out for yourself, after just a few days of using scrivener to help you write your article, or any other piece in a step by step fashion.

But for now take baby steps and learn how scrivener can become your best friend, by viewing the video at the end of the article. And before you know it, you will not be asking other fellow writer's out there if they are accomplished or published authors. But more along the lines of - do they scrivener?
