Torn
Halfhearted
I feel as though I'm losing my mind
Life's stresses and love are all entwined
Should I go or should I stay
To be his lover only halfway
Among my four walls
I've been haunted by memories of time of great falls
The tears that stain my very air
My ears heard his many affairs
We no longer live as one
I've finally said I was done
Look I see the halfhearted man coming my way
Amazingly so sweet, he can give a tooth decay
As I sink my teeth to have a bite
He injects me with his venom of delight
Poisoned by his ability to make me smile
I've been thrown among the rest of his trash pile.
