A poem, Abandoned ocean cave
The whitecaps ripple reflecting memories of past events
There are moments when my mind rushes like a flapping ocean wave
I observe myself staring
While standing in an old abandoned ocean cave
The whitecaps ripple reflecting memories of past events
Like lazy summer nights together
In a hurried pitched tent
Making passionate love, swimming against the swirling current stream
Around and around
As we glide aimlessly downstream
Cooking breakfast on an old makeshift barbecue grill
Hot coffee, bacon and eggs
To get our morning fill
Searching inside the old weathered water soaked cave
Finding names and dates, some very old
Lovers initials lovingly engraved
Then I see a painting of a lovely garden scene
Brings back the aroma of sweet lilac
I used to put in my china figurines
Suddenly I hear a knock on my door.......................
Slowly I leave the ocean cave
And the beautiful decor
I know in my heart of hearts i'll visit again real soon
Happy memories will forever remain hallowed
Surrounding the shallow
Lagoon.
