I am a writer of poetry and fiction. I especially love flash fiction. My name is Ruby, and I live in Southern Illinois. I am a retired R.N.

We have Yelled, " No more "

After the election, I truly believed Humpty Dumpty could be put back together again

After all he's been one of our childhood friend's

There's nothing so broken that it can't be fixed

So let's stop all this complaining and feeling so darn perplexed

Our day's are gonna shine again for me and you

Just like it did after the election in nineteen ninety two

Remember when we all had good jobs and money to spend?

We're on our way back, it just takes time to mend

The unholy war. The weapons of mass destruction. The taxes lowered on the rich

Buba tried to put we Democrats in a muddy ditch

Then he stole the election from my main man Gore

Lordy that made Ruby unhappy and mighty sore

When Obama came forward, I started to listen real close

To be perfectly honest, I liked Hillary the most

But the longer I listened to Obama's words

I knew in my heart he not only could lead us but also the nerds

They fought him every step of the way

The GOP and some Democrats who had gone astray

Times are different today. The Gop knows either they work with my man

Or they will be ousted just like us kids who used to play kick the can

The middle class has stood up and YELLED NO MORE

We're coming back like never before

So all you people who shout GLOOM AND DOOM

Roll up your silk sleeve's and grab a broom

Let's sweep the whitehouse clean, ousting the old dusty lifers

And get rid of the crooks known as sifers

Get ready for Hillary in twenty sixteen

She's been my hero and hope, what a beautiful dream

A woman in the whitehouse what a blissful feeling of joy

She hates wars and all of the warmonger's toys

She's as smart as they come and she's got backbone

She ' ain't ' ever gonna lie to the nation and she'll keep Bill happy in his old home.

Well I think it's about time to update this political rant

Looks like Hillary is ' gonna ' run, she never could comprehend the word can't

Just think about the change she will bring when she takes that sacred vow

Women running for congress nation wide, men reaping the benifits of someone who knows how

To make this country proud once again. To put security first and educate the poor

No one left behind, open admission, never a closed door

So get ready, twenty sixteen is just around the corner

Women stand up and shout, " We're with you all the way. " Some men may even ' wanna' joiner

Well it's May the 28th, 2016, and sure enough Hillary is running against Donald Trump. It's been a difficult time for President Obama but he's prevailed, and will go down in history as a great president who got some things done while the GOP had his hands tied behind his back.

The only thing that can beat Hillary is the people not voting. So you democrats get off your duff and vote. If ' The Don ' wins we're in for an uprising and perhaps blood in our street's.

See you at the voting machines in November...
