A Poem, She Loved the Color of Lavender
The one sitting is my sister Virgie, the man is my son Jackie and his grandchild Ashland
A picture collage echoes her love for her husband and family
She loved the color of lavender
I always knew
Just what to get her
A blouse, a coat, a skirt, even a purple straw hat
She would always smile and say,
" Oh you didn't need to buy that "
She was my childhood soulmate, my Sister Virgie whom we laid to rest yesterday
All of her loved one's were there
Those near and far away
A picture collage echoed her love for her husband and family
Her wedding day, the birth of a child, merry Christmas times
All smiling happily
My main focus, she is free, free of pain that was uncontrollable, finally peace and rest
The minister spoke eloquently concerning her life
Stating that she had done her very best
He spoke about a transition of peaceful sleep
His message I hold dear
And will forever keep
Locked within my heart until we meet again
My soulmate Virgie
My best childhood friend....RIP Sis.
