A poem about love; a precious thing.

Updated on February 24, 2014

Through our years

Through our years, we've seen a lot,

We've heard a lot, we've done a lot,

yet we are still learning.

Each day brings a new chapter

in our lives,

A new experience for the first time,

a new lesson to be learned.

Each day can bring us closer together,

and yet each night could cause

us to part.

We're two different people,

different ideas, different opinions.

Yet we somehow complete one another.

When we're apart, we learn to appreciate

each other, when we're together

we seem to take advantage

of one another.

Although we're lovers, we're also best friends,

but more important, we are soul mates.

As the years go by,

We've grown to know one another,

understand each other,

and somehow

Fall in love once again.

Soul Mates

Love and Life go hand in hand

      @Lisa,

A Nicely written poem about love. I can feel the romance in each word.

Very good sync and rhyming are going like a water. :)

Love is defined in various shades of the colors of life to which your poem justifiably represents. A classic poem I enjoyed it much. Thanks Lisa Avanvorst, for sharing.
