Radhika loves writing poems. She can scribble some spontaneously, whereas some of them are weaved with much care and thought.

Snowy landscape
Snowy landscape | Source

Cool air touched my senses with glee
chilly breeze blew to chill the minds
colors gone dull for the eyes to droop
winter shot casting a novel spell;

Days shortened with dim sunlight
nights stretch for a long epoch
cold and darkness everywhere
creeps into the minds that I fear;

But the sight of snow alight
like pure, white crystals of diamonds
up in the horizon of mountains
drifted my moods and senses;

Snowflakes fall like bubbles of dreams
blanketing rivers, hills and valleys
foams of white bed cheers my minds
and drops of snow falls tickle my skins;

      Hi Harishprasad,

      Nice to see that you liked my poems though I'm not a poet actually. I like fall season as it brings vivid hues in our surroundings.

      Radhika, winter comes alive in your beautiful poem ! Every season is like a visitor. You dwelt upon the gossips of this visitor so vividly. I enjoyed myself savoring this poem. Voted up.

      I'm not a big fan of winter. It's only pretty to look at but chills me to the bone. However, you have penned it so nicely and I enjoyed it.

      Hi ahorseback,

      Though we don't have snowfall herein Mumbai, winter is strong imparting a shivering, cold sensation. This poem I wrote in my imagination.

      Having been born and raised in northern New England one must either love winter or suffer a lot . I think there is a magic in a starry night , cold , fresh winter magic after a storm . Or the silence and isolation of a falling snow !.....well done !
