A Poem For My Misfit Friends
Our Charms
To my friends from distant lands
my pen pals, my soul mates,
my misfit clan.
Do you feel as much as I
that we were destined to
meet somehow someday
A special GPS inside us all
that kept leading the way
bringing us close to build a bond
that only we could see its charm.
Lost souls of a different planet
but here on earth, we are girthed
with a bubble around us we cannot
break, a knowing of loneliness
that overtakes.
Our Darkness Brings Light
The darkness we endure is
not so bad, through it we have
found our own world of glad.
With hope that we will one day
be free to bask in the life he has
saved for thee.
Wisdom abounds us from our
mental state of sheer determination
to bend not break.
Even so, as long as we live, we
are like wandering lost souls
who cannot find the light to make
it home.
Never Alone
This is our story of suffering
fails, of lovesick fools who
were constantly flailed.
It’s been a privilege to find
you all, for if not only to
acknowledge we were not
alone.
