A sign of significance

Updated on April 2, 2010

A sign of significance, a time where no truth is told, a place where lies are looked passed like they don't exist.

Your comprehension and mine are not the same. You esteem things that I do not. I pursue dreams you can't read, or perhaps just won't.

So this place of significance isn't so significant at all. It's just another day living in denial.

Denial of the truth and denial of the lies.

Little jabs are thrown just to feel my flinch. Today I turn the other cheek. Tomorrow I may not. I may not live in the bliss denial brings. I may make you accountable .I may make you tell the truth. Make you make me hurt. So I'm not alone within this bliss of denial…

It never ceases to amaze how much can change in 24 hours. How long the stretch may seem, or how short and fleeting the hours go by.

One day in our bliss people die, people are born. Miracles happen. Tragedies take place. Calamity and peace happen within the same 4 walls, justice and injustice, tolerance and hate.

People are tearing down; people are building up, messages being sent, messages being received.

Lies are being told, and the truth is being revealed. Fires are being burned, flames being smothered. Fortunes are gained. Fortunes are taken. Bombs explode. More people die. Decisions are made and lives are spared. A lot can happen in one day of living in bliss.

Living in the bliss ignorance brings....

Thank you tantrum for your comment your so right true bliss comes from reality...but living in denial for me is sometimes my coping mechanism as sick as it is ...and then I wake up and see all that's true and around me and wow what a bomb....I'm learning as we all are know the saying ..denial is bliss

'A lot can happen in one day living in Bliss'

So true ! But I don't think denial brings Bliss.

True Bliss comes from understanding life and enjoying it.

      I liked this poem ! Thanks ! :)
