A Wall Between

Updated on June 25, 2017

A wall Between

Though near he was,

but so far from my heart

Who says it company

if a company ever it was !

Not eager to have much

save a little affection

Never did he like it,

wonder then what he liked !

Wished the kites of bond

could soar to heavens !

He didn't handle the string ,

and the flight failed

Fragrance of love

could've enchanted the life

He tormented the heart,

what crop could we gain ?

At last what we had

but a few moments to breathe

We lived together miserable,

then what life it was ?

"Many people living together just share space without enjoying the close personal connection that it should entail " .

John, my friend, only this much as your above comment says, I intended to say , but I had to say it poetically. To live together like strangers is really a wastage of precious moments of life.

I love your visit to this hub, John. Thanks for presenting such valuable comments greatly contributing to the essence of this hub.

Another well written poem that poses interesting life questions, Harish. Many people living together just share space without enjoying the close personal connection that it should entail. Yes, they literally do erect a wall between them, and that is sad.

A good poem with a wonderful message.

It is really a painful torture when walls develop in between the relationships. Small differences of opinions or misunderstandings grow it enormous walls. So, there should always be the give and take understanding between partners from the beginning itself. Open communication, patience, and forbearance should be maintained always to get rid of such differences.

Not all relationships are meant to work . But we can always learn from the failed ones. Good poem. I really enjoyed it.

Chitrangada Sharan , my friend , how clearly you explained all about relationship turning sour ! I'm really indebted to your great comments that greatly add to the message of this poem.

Personally, I've seen guys entangled in relationship with no attention to the wonderful rythm of life.

Thanks for your kind visit to this hub and for presenting such valuable thoughts here.

Very well expressed and so poignant!

Sadly this happens in relationships very often, sometimes more if the relationship is too close. I always believe that communication is the key to save a relationship and demolish that wall. But for that both sides should agree upon.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem!

Yes manatita, my friend, a wall is a great hindrance, nonetheless, little skirmishes add to the charm of living ; just as a little bit of salt to the taste of our meal ! Thanks for presenting your kind thoughts here.

Thanks Hari, living together means facing good and bad in life together, and still loving each other. A couple should not shake their solid foundationof love in spite of odds knocking against it.

When the wall's there, like a log in a running river, the flow's impeded. Truth is just as delicate. Great poetry!!

Thank you Eric, this poem is about those guys who despite living together did not effuse affection and love for each other. Such a company is life gone waste.
