ABSTRACT OF LIFE
Before me, a white virtuous, innocent page,
With my paint brush, I painted my bright, shiny yellow light from the glimmering warmness of the sun,
With my paint brush, I painted with pink, to signify all of the frilly feminine girl I was,
With my paint brush, I painted with blue, recalling with clarity the mates and their distinctive traits that entered my life,
With my paint brush, I painted with green, each stroke of envy and jealousy Iād seen,
With my paint brush, I painted with deep crimson red, every cut that I bled,
With my paint brush, I painted black, covering up those cold, lonely, dark nights,
With my paint brush, I painted with brown, for all the times I caused people to frown,
With my paint brush, I painted orange, for all the times my heart sang with laughter,
I took my paint brush and painted with purple, each stroke a remembrance of all that grew loyal,
I stepped back and peered, each color that made up my life, a blob of paint, or an abstract of my life.
