ALL OF IT

Updated on December 11, 2012

LXXV.

Do you want me

With you

Always?

Or do you want me

All

Ways

With you?

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

It's no surprise;

I know:

You grow.

I never thought

It could be otherwise;

Did you?

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

You know

All about it.

Even what you haven't

Yet discovered.

You have it.

It's like your breath

And heartbeat.

It reaches out and fills

Your every crevasse

Of reciprocity.

It is the secret

Of creation.

________ © Nellieanna H. Hay

Think about it.

"We'll see." says a lot.

It says there is a "we"

And open-eyed.

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

Would we

Create illusion

Or discover

Reality?

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

My friend,

A special man of men.

I know you love me.

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

We laugh,

We talk,

We love,

We cry.

Is there nothing we can't

Be

Together?

Is it worth a try?

Oh, I must try

To love you less

But loving you is effortless.

I can't stop that.

I

Do

Love

You

With everything

That's in me,

Even though

I think it will

Not work.

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

Here-

There-

Anywhere-

Who cares?

Not I!

Just love me

Like you do!

I want you back!

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

True heart

Beats constantly

Together.

______© Nellieanna H. Hay

. . . .But wait . . . .

I'm not ready.

It would only break your heart

If you insist.

I can read why a man could easily fall in love with Nellieanna and George found a treasure in you. And of course you in him as well:0) You are the type of woman that men would feel so comfortable with, kind, considerate, loving, very smart, artistic, deep,a thinker and a doer.

If you and I had met in a cafe many years ago and had eye contact, my wink would have been yours and I would have flirted with you and voila where would it had gone? LOL words coming from a crusty, rusty old poet, shooting from the Saddle:0)

I love how you love in words and in deeds. Keep up the Love and you chose a wonderful tune sang by many fine artists and Diana is one of them...hugs from me to you.

Dear Nellieanna...As usual, you put it all together so well: the words that say so much yet so concisely, the imagery, illustrations, and--topping it off--music that ties it all together like a ribbon twirled around a gift package. Ah-h-h-h-h.....

Another wonderfully poetic and heartbreakingly beautiful hub. You are wonderfully, my friend. Just a wonderful person.

You are the embellishment of Hub Pages... the jewel in their crown.

The Diana Krall was so Julie London. I never realised before.

I just replied to you at length, and lost the lot.

      Try again.

I get no more than half a dozen comments lattely, or half a dozen people who comment. However, the ones who do are worthwhile and encouraging and discerning, so it's better than the "everything is awesome" brigade.

You deserve a better showing, but as I said, I get notified on a very casual basis, and far too seldom, so I have missed a lot from you and other worthwhile people.

I am such a fan of Diana Krall. I 've never been a tremendous jazz fan, - but hers grabs me. She does other styles beautifully, too - but this song really works well in a jazz setting, I think -- the way she does it. Her piano is beyond description, as well as her voice. It's so seamless and effortlessly ornate. I'm humbled by musical ability like that.

      Hugs, dear friend.

Ben - thank you for the visit! I'm so happy you have more time now for this. As for activity, remember - YOU are always good, whatever the amount of response.

One thing I learned from day one online is how fickle is popularity - and that it usually has less to do with me than with what's going on in others' lives. It returns when timing is right as smoothly as it vanished. Meantime, one goes on doing one's thing and enjoys response if it's there but just not expect it, depend on it or fret over it whatever its doing or not doing. Hugs.

A really lovely and sensible reassurance for Ben, Nellie. I have just read it again and know how true this is in application to HP business and also to other relationships. Capability and talent are not what many hubbers are looking for.

There are so many who want to "read" as much as possible every day and then slide past having written AWESOME as many times as possible. But look into many of the comments, and there a so many people; too many people who haven't read them at all, or have slimmed across the surface.

    • Nellieanna profile image

Nellieanna Hay 5 years ago from TEXAS

Jami - What a nice comment. I guess love is a bit whimsical when it's not sad. I like that and I must ruminate on it. Thank you!

    • Nellieanna profile image
      Author

Nellieanna Hay 5 years ago from TEXAS

Ian - true. In fact many hubbers (can be translated: people) are just looking for mirrors here. Naturally if that's the perspective, it probably seems (to them) that it's the goal of others here, too. The result of that can easily just be doling out tawdry reflections to others and "settling" for the same for themselves, so long as some kind of a glimmer bounces back.

Also - we need to bear in mind that we're rubbing shoulders with whole "other" lives here in which time and other stresses are huge factors. I guess that being willing and able to give the time and apply the thought required to be "straight mirrors" for others needs to yield its own satisfaction and reward whether or not reciprocated. We can still do as we'd prefer it be done unto us and raise the standard of response at least that much.

But it does feel good to be really perceived & likewise, it's frustrating to not be, especially if insult is added to it by being handed an "awesome" crumb as though expected to be fully satisfied, knowing what we put out wasn't really given even the response people give to trivial TV shows!

As you say - - this applies to this limited field on HP relationships but more so to those in one's bigger picture. How we choose to deal with it may make the difference between being grounded and OK with oneself inside or not. If we allow everyone else's whims to determine that for us, we are pathetically vulnerable - and without just cause, actually. it's wise to give 'benefit of the doubt'. Saves beating oneself up for vaguely perceived lacks. "They" may just have had a bad day or be burdened with caring for an ill parent - it probably has little to do with us, anyway. And - sad to say - many people live rather dull, numb lives for the most part. The intensity to put themselves in our shoes may be a lacking gene in their makeup. So who's to be pitied?

Well, though - I guess "it's easy for me to say that". I've only recently had enough feedback to a lifetime of writing to put on a pin's head. So any comments I get seem quite lavish and wonderful and even more - rather unexpected.

Addressing your last paragraph, I find it difficult to imagine you hadn't been feted for your writing all through your life... and your philosophies.

And the rest of your comment? I feel as if my favourite aunt had put me into her front parlour, sprinkled 4711 on a white handkerchief and placed in on my fevered brow.

      Hugs!

Hi, Nellieanna, I love your poetry, my favorite here was,

      Would we

      Create illusion

      Or discover

      Reality?

I read it a couple of times, then it suddenly clicked! so many of us do this, reality can be so much more rewarding, we all live in our little 'mind' worlds, and yet there is so much more out there for real, clever words as always, take care, hugs nell

    • Nellieanna profile image
      Author

Nellieanna Hay 5 years ago from TEXAS

OH my, Ian! You know about everything! 4711! I wonder how many - or how few - folks have ever heard of it! Yes - it would refresh your fevered brow with its crisp, clean citrusy-ness and inspire with its subtle suggestion of other more mysterious scents. I hadn't thought of it for AGES. It was a stage I went through! Now I think I need to hunt some down.

Not hard to figure why my questionable fame has been so muffled. One thing, I had mixed goals. Couldn't decide whether to go for astronomer, philosopher or femme fatale. Seriously, that was an actual debate with myself at age 12, which was about the time I was infatuated with that lovely bottle and scent of 4711, as I recall. haha.

    • Nellieanna profile image

Nellieanna Hay 5 years ago from TEXAS

Nell- thank you!! Yes - we do often sacrifice the real for our illusions, though perhaps we need a little "color" of illusions to enjoy the real. But it is the real which gives us footing.

When written, there was no thought or intent to be clever, though. I just recorded the thoughts occurring to me. I'm sure many more of those have been and are equally foolish! ;-)

You are so good to come read and comment! Hugs.

Oh, Nellieanna, this is absolutely lovely. What more can I say? I love you with all my heart... just because you are so true, beautiful, pure, lovely... I must take time to compare you with something that came sparkling clean and brilliant out of a very dirty place. This life is so dirty, and yet, people like you don't even get stained by the dirt. I love you, my mamma in Cyberspace!

    • Nellieanna profile image

OH, my dearest Martie. That brought instant tears to my eyes! Oh, yeah - it can surely be a dirty business. Was so, in he age of the Pharaohs, the Romans and throughout recent history. But honestly, - that part is not "life", but its antithesis: - the part that moves us toward death. LIFE is made for - well, LIFE!

But, sure, it has some honest dirty stuff, - birth, for example, is a bit of a grungy ordeal - but so quickly - emerges joy and sweetness. It's not so hard to focus on that. I get dirty - but "stained" is a bit more, isn't it? Have to sort of wallow in it to get stained! :-)

Thank you. I look forward to knowing to what you refer - "sparkling clean and brilliant" does sound soooo appealing! Hugs and thank you, my pet.
