Adventures of a Wandering 3rd Eye pt.2
Vancouver WA
Finger tips Loosely wrapped around The driving wheel Thick fog erases The surroundings Straight edges align The beams projected From the headlights A cold breeze Feeds the flare Of the tip Of a half smoked cigarette Tonight The road reveals The soul, Under the protection Of a low floating cloud
I tripped over the curb
In the thick fog That clouded The Vancouver streets On New Year's Eve Alone Wandering The foreign streets Without the trace Of a familiar face Voices and noises Violently battering This peaceful escape Another beer While burning leaves On the side streets I catch myself Stumbling And pick up A sense of direction Its time to begin A rabid goose chase Without a taxi Or map I found my way into Another bar To inhale the vapors That attacked my chest So violently I take a brake, To escape my fate Wandering into The thickness of the fog Without explanation Or destination Unreliably I took another glance Asked for a chance, Received a dance From the girl in my mind Undeniably
