What are you supposed to do

When all your instincts lie?

Cry another anguished tear

And fight the urge to die?

Appreciate the beautiful

Of which you are a part!

Challenge all the agonies

That perforate your heart!

And most of all (remember this!)

As long as you shall live

Even if the other won't

Forgive forgive forgive!

Forgive the other and yourself

But don't expect the same

Your choices hurt so be prepared

To warrant all the blame

A sun will rise upon your lives

Without the tangled tether

And you'll awake in arms of bliss

Separately together

Wow. I didn't know you could write poetry on HubPages! That was a fantastic post! I may try this out sometime. Thanks for sharing!

A good piece and really great last line. I had to read the last line at least three times to keep feeling the impact. Thank you.
