What would you do if you had to do something that you didn't want to do? That is the story of Alabama Rain's life. Alabama Rain's dad, Ken is a feral vampire drug lord. He has her doing his drug runs. She hates that life but is scared for her and her brother's life if she doesn't do it. She remembers her dad the way he was before her mother died. While she runs the drugs, her dad has her brother working as a spy to the competition. One day, she and her brother will have saved enough money to leave and start over fresh.

Then one day, she is outside the Davenport Tower getting ready to steal some drugs when she is interrupted by Nate Davenport. When he learns what she is doing, he makes it his mission to catch her so he can report her to the tribunal. But the more he investigates the more he learns that she is a victim. He then makes it his mission to protect her from her feral father but in the process, he falls in love. Their love for each other could mean their death if her father finds out.

This is a great book. I love watching and reading books and movies about vampires. This is a different intake on the vampire genre. This book not only includes action and vampires but also Christian values. I have never watched a movie like this nor have I read about vampires with Christian values. If you love fast-paced vampire action then this book is for you. This is book 5 in the series. You could read this book on its own but as you read through the book, some of the characters have their own story to tell. What I love about this book is that the author gives this series on vampires a situation that happens in the real world (for example, this novel is about Alabama, who is a vampire drug dealer) but adds a Christian aspect to it. There was only one scene that I didn't care for but other than that I loved it. The ending was one that I didn't see coming.
