Alex’s YouTube Journey

Updated on June 5, 2019

Chapter 1

Alex just got to know from his dad that you can earn money from YouTube This triggered the 16 year old Alex who starts thinking about earning money while at home and not going anywhere.Alex always thought about making gaming videos on YouTube but could not get motivated to do it due to the fact he could not earn money from it.But now with the new opportunity of earning money from YouTube he was on his Xbox one and started playing Call of Duty Black Ops 3.What he did first was press the game capture button on and he started off by just trying to a decent killstreak in black ops 3.His first target was just to get a 3 killstreak and upload it as his first video on youtube. He got the 3 killstreak and he clipped it out on the Xbox upload studio software. He had a iPhone 6s so first he went on his onedrive where the clip was uploaded and he downloaded it onto his iPhone. He then uploaded the 3 killstreak he got in black ops 3 from his iPhone onto YouTube. It was 2:00pm and he kept on checking if he got any views but he didn't and at 10:30pm he went to sleep hoping in the morning the video will get noticed and go viral.

He woke early at 6:00am and he went straight to the YouTube app on his iPhone 6s to check if he got any views. The view count showed "NO VIEWS".He was heartbroken and sad.

Chapter 2

It was morning and Alex had to go to college and he was feeling a bit down.He was thinking of skipping college today and was thinking about that he should try to make a insane crazy viral black ops 3 video. He was thinking of getting a 7 or 8 killstreak in the FPS game. But he knew right now he was not at that level that he can make a video like that. This was making him more depressed.

Then his dad was going to work and he told Alex that he will drop him off college today because he is going in late to work.Alex said okay to his dad. There was an hour before setting off to college so he had an idea that he will get ready quickly and with the remaining half hour he will play black ops 3 and just be content with whatever decent gameplay he gets and then he will upload it.He thought that he plays anyway sometimes for fun and it doesn’t take too long to upload it on YouTube so he will just do it.The main thought going around his head was that so many videos on YouTube are not that special but still some of them have a 1 or 2 million views.

He got ready quickly and went straight to his Xbox one and started playing. He was getting really hard players in the game and was not being able to even get a 3 killstreak in the game.He was getting frustrated and was getting impatient.

The half hour was up and his dad came up to him and said "Ready to go Alex ?".Alex sad about not being able to get a decent gameplay video said to his dad "Yeah dad i'll be be done in a minute".Alex put down his Xbox controller while feeling dejected and was unable to have any positive thoughts. He left with his dad to go to college feeling dejected.

Find out what happens in chapter 3.Coming soon.
