All in what you make it

Updated on July 11, 2015

All in what you make it

All in what you make it is a title that will forever stand out on its own because it’s self-explanatory. When it comes to creative writing it will always be something unique with every time you decide to type every word to turn that sentence into the best story anyone has ever read. It’s solely upon you. Why? Because creative writing is just what it is. Creative writing. You get to sit down where ever you may be and just let your pen do the talking or laptop whatever it may be.

Take me for an example. I have been writing since I was in elementary school. Greenbrier Elementary to be exact. I will never forget. I was excused to go to the restroom and when I came back the classroom was hyped and excited. A girl that I sat next to name Caitlyn had read some of my lyrics aloud and I guess everyone agreed that it was nice. She told me herself that she even liked it. Ever since then that has always been my inspiration to continue to do what I love no matter what obstacles I may face. My writing consist of short story, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, composition, and music. My love for music is very strong also. I have recorded a lot of songs and I love my voice and topics but it all starts with writing. It also depends on your mood also. Some of the best poets I know sometimes experience writers block and I have fell a victim of it as well. However we all overcome it by motivation and inspiration. So, what inspires you the most? Another thing that could help with creative writing is by having a positive atmosphere. Don’t fall into a dark space to where you allow your thoughts to become foggy. Embrace positivity and use it in the most powerful way. Your voice. The decision is completely up to you.

Now I know I may not be the best writer when it comes to run on sentences, fragments, and etc, but when you are being yourself you don’t have to come with instructions. Creative writing to me is just like free writing. No one will ever know the real you until you unleash that writer on the inside that isn’t afraid to be themselves. I may not be saying something different, but I say things to make a difference anywhere I can.

My Favorite Author

James Patterson has always been one of my favorite authors since 2008. I started reading his books when I was in high school. I have always enjoyed reading books with mystery or could just simply keep my attention. So if you ever have some free time look up James Patterson if you haven't already and get reading. You never know what you are missing out on.
