Twisted Love Poems: Alone In My Bed

Updated on June 13, 2013

Out of all the cheap tricks
The one that through me for a flip
Was the I love yous you said
While handling that stick

You low down dirty witch
You were just playing for the chips
Giving your best poker face
To keep my pockets on drip

It was a lot of flash
While you wiggled that jazz
Keeping my eyes off my money
So you could dip in my stash

Then hocus pocus
The green was all gone
And I was alone in my bed
While you were breaking dawn.

I was just having a little fun with my dual nature on this one. I wanted to write two poems that showed a big contrast.

Sour grapes don't make a good wine. Chalk it up to experience and testosterone.
