For National Poetry Month 2012 #4

I tried to fashion something

beyond my ken

in the voice of a poet

more eloquent than me,

more word-worthy.

But the voice failed me

as I tried to fashion

haphazard art

from tarnished 2-bit words

crafted from tin.

The bronzed voice cracked and faded

and I was left upon an altar of graphite-

Silent.

This was so good Audrey..This is a picture of words how we may feel when we attempt to do something, but feeling we just could not achieve what we see others achieving. This piece was so creative and very profound. I don't know why but I could almost picture a part two to this beautiful piece..as an awakening, attempting once again... where the silence is broken and the art stands tall.

      Thank you

      Sunnie

IF this poem was putting yourself down in anyway? You need to re-write! You are an amazingly 'easy' poet - meaning - it seems as if it just...flows..from you. you're too humble..
