Poetry: An Addiction

Updated on March 1, 2013

An Addiction

I Want it

I need it

It does complete me

So Instant

Gratifying

This gives you wings

A drug

Or love

What is needed bad

The types

Of escape

That we ever had

In the End

Im Dreaming

Of a day without dark

Beautiful release

Bright Sun

The difference so stark

A woman

Grows weary

Of playing these games

She eats

Alone

To lessen her shame

A man

Anger follows

Smokes from a bowl

A teacher

A preacher

Perverted sex till old

The differences

Are vast

Yet somehow still true

Everyone needs

An addiction

Can mine be you?

Wow! I am absolutely stunned. This is a very well written poem, dark yet ending with a slight chance of hope. Loved it. Voted up.
