An Argument Re: The Need For Imagination
i write the richness
of imagination
loosened
upon a realm of untasted possibilities
of dreams pocketed
against the dearth
of countless moments
of toil
in the work-a-day world
of the mundane
when the heart stops seeing
and the head
rows its way
toward the endless
acquisition of objects,
dreams gather lint
and stop speaking
the language of man
and we are all
diminished
