An Elusive Butterfly

Updated on July 25, 2016

The Transformation

When a caterpillar has transformed into a butterfly, that same butterfly continues to visit the same branch on which it made its transformation. Until that butterfly feels safe and complete on this branch, then is when it is time to explore and visit other branches. The same is true for the life experiences that we each learn from.

A Transformational Human Comparison

As my thoughts run rapid at times, I think of the life cycle of the butterfly and all the changes a caterpillar must go through to become the beautiful butterfly that it does.

I think to myself; we as human beings are constantly going through various transformation. It is the healthiest way to grow and evolve as a soul and as a human being. I reflect upon my own personal journey in life. As I reminisce over clips of life episodes, sagas, tragedies, traumas, dramas, elations, relations, and most of all the heart felt love that we all seem to long for.

It seems as though life experiences take us to revisit the same branches until we have learned the lessons in which we are here to learn. As with the butterfly, feeling safe is a clear indication that we can move on.

"Your journey has molded you for your greater good and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don't think that you've lost time. There is no short cutting to life. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time."

Life cycle of the butterfly

My Human Transformation Comparison

As I have grown and matured in mind, body and spirit, I vaguely recall specifics in past clips of my life episodes. However, I do recall the many lessons I have learned and have become humble in a sense of gaining more certainty in knowing my own deeper truth.

I believe we are each a caterpillar that transforms to a butterfly. We must strengthen our wings to fly as we explore and pursue that which we envision to be an ideal life for ourselves. It is with each of us that we are our own creators. We are each caterpillars that are constantly transforming into a better state of being. It is when we limit ourselves that creates stagnation, illness and ailment. Health is a state of being. If you gain anything out of this reading, I encourage you to give yourself permission to strengthen your spirit (wings) and fly as high as you can possibly imagine yourself to go. You are your own soul provider and guide. No one else can fly for YOU.

Possibly one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves in our lifetime, is true love. To truly love ourselves completely. It seems as though we live our lives reaching and grasping for that which fulfills our heart and soul. Yet, we have everything we need right within ourselves.

As I believe in transformations, I have found the greatest gift in transforming is when we have attracted a soul reflection as complete as our own. I call this a true love reflection. A relationship with another soul as pure as our own, is a treasured gift to grow and transform with. A true partner to fly beside is one of life's ultimate gifts.

My wish for you:

* May you transform in bigger ways than you have ever imagined yourself to.

* May your wings be strengthen by love.

* Live

* Love

* and Laugh..........a lot ;-)

      Hi Lisa;

      Haven't been over your way for a while so trust all is well with you.

      Some interesting parallels you've drawn, common and personal.

      I guess we have to love ourselves a little without becoming a lover of 'self' :) I liked your wishes in the closing part of your article; very encouraging.

      Beautiful imagery, and sharing.

      Have a marvellous weekend lease;

      You are so right, I believe that we all at times revisit the same place not knowing that we either need to get it right or just gain strength from the experience as we grow. I love the beauty of the butterfly, and it's symbolism of transformation. Thanks for the share.

      Some Christian groups take the butterfly as their symbol to stand for their change from their old life to their new life in Christ.

      Thank you graceinus :-). I appreciate the vote up. I have a tendency to make sense of life by making analogies in life about most everything. The butterfly to me signifies a greater transformation that we as human beings continue to evolve through. I contemplate the soul of life as a forever transforming evolution . I think, we are souls living a human experience in order for our soul to grow and transform into a better state of being. Thanks again for your support!!

      I never heard of a life of a human being compared to that of a butterfly . It's an interesting observation. Voted up.
