A poem to a lovely girl

Sometimes, someone comes into your life and then, you feel your life will never be the same again. Their presence in your life may be fleeting, but the impressions they leave on your heart last for a lifetime.

And then there are some, who come into your life, and stay with you forever. They face with you everything that you face in your life, and comfort you in times of doubt and fear. They double your joy and halve your gloom. Sometimes, their mere sight can soothe your nerves and sometimes, their mere touch can make your day. If you have never experienced any of these feelings, open up, look more deeply at the world around you.

This ode is to all the lovely girls we have in our lives, who make our lives so much more livable.

In every busy day and every sleepy night,
At times of gloom and delight,
You have always been there with me, for me,
And yet, my heart still skips a beat at your very sight.

You were there with me when I was young and reckless,
You stood by me when I was lost and aimless,
I know you will never let go of me,
And yet, your love, you never profess.

I vow to confront everything you fear,
To me, you alone, are most dear,
Together we shall stay till the end of my life,
So my love for you shall never disappear.
