An Open Letter of Thanks to the Dallas Morning News

This is an open letter to The Dallas Morning News to thank them for standing up for truth and the majority of the American people in the 2016 Presidential Election, and I for one am very grateful.

For almost twenty two years my husband and I have subscribed to your newspaper and this is one year I am proud to say “Thank you for standing up for me and for the people of our great country. Your endorsement in this election brought tears of pride to my eyes.

For more than thirty five years I have followed the political news …. And watched as innocent people were maligned, scorned and blamed for things they had nothing to do with or had no control over.

I watched as the lies about Hillary Clinton grew by leaps and bounds. I thought about the saying “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

I watched as Susan McDougal was imprisoned because she would not lie for the benefit of the crew that now has total power/control over our country, unless the Electoral College votes for what is right on December 19^th, but please remember who chooses the members of the Electoral College.

With that I am reminded of the old saying “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely” but, wait! Who of the current regime is uncorrupt?

I wish I had the resources to research the lies and debunk them, and expose their source.

Have people become so callous, that they would ignore the women who were victimized by a man while at the same time blame a woman for the indiscretions of her husband?

How do we right the wrongs that have been perpetrated by this man and the Conservative’s Electoral College? The only truth that Candidate Trump spoke was when he said this system is rigged.

I am asking that you continue to be the voice for Democracy and the American people. You have the resources to decry the lies and hypocrisy, and lay the truth bare for all to see.

Romney said Trump was unfit to be our President

Then the hypocrite was one of the first to fall in line

Vying for the chance to kiss Trump’s behind

But, good ole-boy Rudy stuck his nose in first

So…Romney is really in a bind

There’s not a space between Rudy and Nikki that he can find

Putin is bragging, said he brought the Donald luck

With all the false ads that he posted on face-book

The lies that were propagated

And spun like threads of gold

Lies are exciting when they are sold

For the truth is boring when it’s told

When truth is at a crawl

When the lies goes speeding by

That’s when Justice stalls

That’s when our democracy dies

The others swoop in like vultures on the carcass of our dying liberty
