Analyze my Dream

Updated on July 25, 2015

Sail Away With Me

Source

Your presence requested.

Analyze my dreams

Tell me what it says to you

So maybe I can understand

What it could mean to me

Give me your thoughts

As to why there are so many hallways

And I can’t find even one door

Or why I can never remember where I parked my car

You have my permission

Delve into my brain

Find the spigot

Turn off the rain

Whisk away cobwebs

Fogging up my mind

Take my hand

Show me the dream I once had

Open doors

Let light pour in

Drown darknesses

So I never feel them again

Twirl me, swirl me

Whatever it takes

So when I wake up

I am finally awake

Draft me a map

I can follow

So I don’t fall trap

Into all that is hollow

Sing softly

Melodies I can hear

So no more ghosts

Shall I fear

Bring me a lantern

Filled with my lovin’ lightenin’ bugs

So in my globe all glitters

With hugs for you and me

Build me a ladder

That reaches beyond

So I can see the sun

When all I want is to be done

Yes, please analyze my dreams

Visit my soul

So I can share your kind and kindred spirits

I can know I belong to something greater

Than my id, ego and super-overwhelming sadness

That takes hold of me

Share your dreams with me

Let me see what you see

Let’s sail away

To some distant shore

Where all is lovely

Only peace and harmony

Stream with me

Present adventures where hallways exist

Now finding the door

an exciting risk

Drive me around parking lots and decks

‘til I find a magic carpet

So I can fly and not get wet

My dear dream analysts

You are invited!

Your presence is desired!

Enlighten me with your dreams

Let me love you and you love me

Well my friend, I could try why not but my analytic mind may not have the right solutions and my systems thinking may not fit. I may not be able to unravel the mystery of your dreams but know this instead...you are loved and you are not alone.

I am here (pleasure reading this hub) sending you peace and love from the sky. ~ :)

Sailing away sounds lovely, dearest Kim, taking us away to distant shores to spark our minds with intrigue and adventure of seeing and hearing new horizons full of beauty and intrigue ...

Hugs and much love ... and prayers for peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding

Dearest Kim, I could try to analyse your dream but I find the true meanings can really only be deciphered by the dreamer themselves. from what you say it appears you are lost as to which way to take your life at the moment...the fact that there are many hallways to choose from but you can't find a door. Apart from that I just hope that you begin to have pleasant and happy dreams that do soon come true. This is a wonderful poem in every way. I always look forward to your next hub. Voted up.

I do so love your poetry. Analyze yours? No chance. I'm way too busy trying to convince myself that I'm not bonkers. :)

      CriSp,

I love your hugs from the sky. Thanks for reminding me I am not alone.

      Jackie,

So great to see you. I will be by your hub space soon. Thank you for always being so supportive.

      Theresa,

Yes. "Peace that surpasses understanding" is what I seek. Hugs and love to you dear one.

      John,

I think you are correct in that one must make sense of his/her own mind. Though is never hurts to gain insight from one's friends. I believe you picked up on what I saw as well: unsure of the path I need to take. Thank you for your comments and kindness.

      Bill,

Smiles. Please let me know if you discover the way to convince one's self she is not bonkers.

As always, I feel so blessed to be a member of a community of writers who are willing to read my ramblings.

      Blessings to All,

      Kim

That was beautiful Kim. It was interesting to read and what I thought of when I read it was a web catcher which catches bad dreams, spider webs and ghosts - for example. I voted up, shared and pinned it.

      Kevin,

I love the way you see the world and your response made my day. My dream catcher loves the vote, share and pins. Smiles.

Wow, Kim! I really love this poem . Don't we always want our dreams interpreted. You say this do well. I love the magic carpet ride. I love the image - perfect. Let's sail away from reality for a bit!

      DDE,

Absolutely. I dreamed more recently about my mama (She passed away on May 14th). And, in the dream, she was happy, healthy and it gave me such joy for I had seen her go down over the last few years while she was fighting the cancer that ultimately took her from us.

      Kim,

      I have a repetitive dream

That sometimes makes me want to scream

But I fear, I will run out of air

      If I linger there

I can't interpret dreams, but I hope someone who can will answer this.

My solution to my dream: I will my mind to alter the outcome of my dreams.

      You are a beautiful poet.

      Blessings and hugs

I find your response to be the true poetry here. ☺

      Thank You,

      Kim
