Animosity As An Atrocity
A trait that we could surely do without is animosity,
That awful one, to be so labelled, such an atrocity.
Only human, you might then all say, in retrospect,
What a humiliating condition, without a self-respect.
The spoiler of presidents, kings of far away places,
The hatreds so held within, terrible sins, disgraces.
All the time masked, in false pretrenses, a portrayal.
Causing the wars of old, a loss of life, of its betrayal.
\
There must be changes made, is a time of revival,
New days then all to come, of the grandest arrival.
The best of any man, a much better world to span,
That all may understand, without a single reprisal.
The anger held inside, the vile thoughts, as payback,
"Getting even", the only reason, so draws much flack.
A better design to redefine, the essence of humanity,
Now a positive approach, not to encroach, of sincerity.
Let the history of men, to now rescind, in a new way,
Those of the future, our heirs, as only the best to say.
Times are short, use every resort, a countdown begins,
The telling clock, each second hand, to make amends.
Our children, their future lives, we now hold in our hands,
Let us spread good news of a better way, across all lands.
Respect and caring, with all so sharing, reaping a harvest,
Each seed we plant, the best to grant, and is ours to invest.
