The Elements of Life

Walting in the snow

Bright morn

Waltzing my way through the falling snowflakes,

I feel energised; filled with a zest for new life.

I have extinguished the fire of past sorrows,

And I’m now light as a kite on this current sojourn.

The red tide of my tomorrows,

Has nullified the dark waves of my yesterdays;

I sail on the expectations of a brighter morn.

No blaming; no fault-finding,

This Heart is filled with gratitude for the air I breathe.

The crisp wind of winter sings me a melody so enchanting,

That Grace enters my every sinew,

And hope blossoms in the very garden of my Soul.

Today is a day of rejoicing,

And I’m at peace with the elements of life.

Peggy that was nice! You took me back two years. It was refreshing to read this poem again. So touching. I seem to have talent even then. Chuckle.

      Thank you so much!

There is a unique beauty to every season of the year including winter. With the passing of each season we enter the next one anew. It is good to let go of the past and approach the days ahead with hope and gratitude. Your poem is beautiful.

This was a nice work. If one is not at peace with life, it truly will not occur during death.

To feel free like your poem suggests would be very liberating, indeed. I love your accompanying images, especially "Garden of the Soul."

Ha ha I thought it was six or five plus right? I'm still working on it. Yes, a magical mystery tour all right. Peace, my friend.

It took me five decades to find peace. I'm not giving it up now. Life is a magical mystery tour and each day is least that's how I feel...but then, what do I really know? LOL Blessings always my talented friend.

Surabhi, ha ha ha. Chuckle, chuckle...all is Mother's. The true Seer-poet knows that God is the supreme Artiste. Nimmita matram...nimmita matram bhava savvyasachin. (I am a mere instrument of Hers)

Your sentiment as always is very heart-felt and nourishing to me. Hari Om Tat Sat! Om Shanti!!

Catherine, I note your innate beauty. This one is for lovers of life....of the Universe ...of others goodness and Light, and I feel that you champion this cause lovingly and self-givingly. Thank you so much for your touching comments.

A very, very inspirational poetry. This is how life should be lived; in the present moment with a positive tendency. Manatita, how do you do these beautiful lines? (smile). It's so natural for you. But then yes, you are a weaver. Wonderful poem on finding an inner peace! Rumi's video was a delight. Very sweet and motivational. Carry on…
