At the bottom of your glass

Updated on August 2, 2012

At the bottom of your glass

I weep tears filled with the memories
All the joy when we first wed
When we'd stay up all night talking
In our matrimonial bed

We'd dream and plan our future
Between our nocturnal fun
Never thinking about sleeping
Until we saw the sun

Those night were full of magic
Hope and trust for the unknown
All the day time spent together
Building family life and home

With a blink of time we were three
and we dreamed of being four
but we never heard the evil
that was knocking at the door

We didn't see it coming
Or hear tap tap at the door
But I knew that it had found us
when I saw you on the floor
with our child curled up with you
when she was just one year old
just wanting her sweet mother
to stop her feeling cold

Was this evil sent to hurt me

Retribution for my past

But it seemed to be more happy
At the bottom of your glass

A man sits in a dentists chair, the dentist has just finished sorting out his root canal, the man says "thank God for that."

the dentist responds "God, who believes in God in this day and age, I mean look at all the suffering in the World."

the man said "I do, responded the man. Very well If you don't believe in God I don't believe in dentists, I mean look at all the people with cracked teeth, or no teeth at all, surely there can't be dentists if this is happening."

The dentist responds "Yeah, but I can't help people if they aren't willing to come to me to get fixed up."

"And neither can God," responds the man.

There were two clay pots, every day the owner would take them to the lake to fill up, the first pot would be fine, but cause of the cracks the second pot would be half empty by the time he got it back. One day the cracked pot said to the owner, why do you not get a new pot, for I am so cracked. The owner replied its because of your cracks that pretty flowers have grown along the path that leads from the lake to the village. Your crack create life!

      Yes A K

But when my child holds me tight wanting the security of her Daddy in these bad times I feel like the whole universe is flowing through us, and I could never wish for more, I am finding out via an extremely hard route that you can direct pain away from yourself without bitterness, for the benefit of people who truly need your strength, it is something that I never thought would be possible in the strongest of people let alone me, but I have discovered that love truly is the strongest power of creation, but you cannot let it destroy you in self pity, you have to fight on for good and it will back you up all the way.

      Thank you for your words

Wow its amazing, isn't it we make plans, expect things to happen in a certain way, but thats not always what goes down. Like that poor woman that died after giving birth. Although her husband raised a quarter of a million for charity after, so some good did come of it. But sometimes the silver lining is a lot harder to see, don't you think

    working
