Autumn Whispers
The cold north wind blows.
“Winter! Winter is coming!”
Shout the leaves joyously,
As they drift and glide
Side by side
Down to the ground they go.
They are like little toy sailboats
Being carried by the wind.
With bright blazing Fire Red sails,
Yellows and oranges too!
“Winter! Winter is soon to be here!
They cry as they navigate
Their way towards
The forest’s floor.
Sending up their sails
Like streamers in the sky.
Swish, Swish, Swish,
And down they go.
“Winter! Winter is coming!”
And all must know.
