An Autumnal Poem to Rasma

Now falling ‘pon the breeze my garments lay,

I waltz on dew-clad hill-tops as I sway.

Dance through the pines; create my sweet array,

Then drift, blue skies caress this Autumn’s day.

Now on this cool, dark mistiness I lie,

No one I see to hear my lovelorn cry.

Upon a dawn which gently stroke my eye,

On verdant flora lying down I sigh.

But hark! White-tailed deers, squirrels; foxes play,

Bring magic moments; joy around my way.

A golden hue; the fawns are merry; gay,

My gosh! Tis great! I’ll have much fun today!

And now at dusk, I sing a merry tune,

Then view the stars around the crescent moon.

Yes, the moon. Someone said this to me, or I supported the idea, don't remember. The moon is so soothing! As a child I looked at it a lot. But of course there are some things that are common to the mystic poet and the moon is one of them.

Thank you for coming over and your kind comment. Much Love this Sunday.

Thank you for this most lovely and colorful sonnet Manatita. Really enjoyed the pictures and the music. What delight that you referred to one of my favorite celestial beings the moon. Also many thanks to my HP friends and their wonderful comments.

Autumn is still a 'feel good' factor for most, Surabhi. My last years is a romantic one, and this is full of vibrancy and colour. Right? Enjoy!

Yes. I actually dedicated this for her because I saw that she wrote something about Autumn. Mine was already written, but not posted. So I wanted to offer her this gift.

Manatita, this sonnet is very appropriate for Rasma. She writes of the seasons quite often and how they affect her, the memories that are made and left behind, and the emotions they evoke.

      Yes, Dee. Thanks.

What do you think of the 'despairing' ones? Too heavy? I like to lift, as you know, but some reliable sources say that despair also helps us. Nevertheless, I don't do them too often. Much Love.

All beauty is represented here. Autumn is also a very romantic season (not too cold nor too hot but is a season that hits the spot). This is a lovely dedication to a wonderful lady.

Yes...yes. I chuckle too. No, I don't stalk you, but we work in different ways for the same cause. So our thoughts and friends meet, sometimes, that's all. Cosmic energy works in mysterious ways, my Brother Bill.
