Wisdom from the Master

"Life is nothing but the expansion of love. We can cultivate divine love by entering into the Source. The Source is God, who is all Love." -Sri Chinmoy

"There is no fundamental difference between one religion and another, because each religion embodies the ultimate Truth. Each religion is right, absolutely right, because each religion conveys the message of Truth in its own way." - Sri Chinmoy

In This Land Of Supernal Beauty

Many come here, simply to gaze upon the scarlet moon.

The fire of this realm is so enthralling, that their

Stare remains transfixed and tongues mute.

I die daily, to the pangs of the mundane,

And dine voraciously, at the banquet of these Lovers.

In this land of supernal beauty, each kiss is a drunkenness

Of amnesia. The pale world fades; a new Light emerges

With the dawn. In my hallucinations, I hear the voice of

Silence whispering, in the temple of the sun: Come! Come!

My eagle-bird soars gracefully, pulling at perennial rainbows.

Deep down in the valley of the meadow of Light,

The allure of the Brotherhood of yon heavenly Mansions,

Are beckoning me. Love’s Gardener opens the kaleidoscope,

Of an ever-enrichening splendour, and welcomes me Home.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 3rd November, 2019

Wisdom from the Master

“Truth is beauty. Beauty inspires a God-seeker to see God’s Face of eternal Beauty. Truth is peace. Peace inspires a God-seeker to feel God’s Heart of infinite Peace. Truth is power. Power inspires a God-seeker to watch God’s Eye of immortal Power. Truth is compassion. Compassion inspires a God-seeker to sit at God’s Feet of all-forgiving Compassion.." - Sri Chinmoy

Sojourner Truth

The scales of justice swings, like a Libran Pendulum;

The same truth that frees me from my fears,

Has also imprisoned me with serious guilt.

The voice of Conscience whispers, but to what avail?

I need a receptive vessel to heed its call.

My mind’s weighed down with a truth,

Sitting on my shoulders like dead elephants.

Locked prison doors are meaningless to a soul,

Bathing in a river of ceaseless Love.

So too, wisdom defies the bars of logic,

To show that a truth told with bad intent,

Is worse than the lies that man invents.

I walked towards the Sunlit Path, Leaving the unillumined

Truths behind, in this ephemeral world of shadows.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 3rd November, 2019

Wisdom from the Master

"If we live in our oneness-heart, we will feel the essence of all religions which is the love of God. Forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and the feeling of oneness are the signs of a true religion." -Sri Chinmoy

"My life is only half full
When I receive.
My heart is completely full
Only when I give." - Sri Chinmoy

Monday's New Dawn

How important is it to you, to start the week with an awakened Heart?

On Truth

When the snow falls, it sometimes begins like flakes, drifting in the atmosphere. The wind blows wherever Love takes it, carrying these divine messengers of heaven to the pollen, the stamen of flowers, the foliage … my stained glass windows.

The light flakes kisses my face and hugs me gently, intimately. Its healing effects sometimes exactly what I need in this noisy world of modern consumerism.

I am a spark of Spirit, no less than the flakes … the stars. Indeed, since I aspire to be God-like, then perhaps I'm their Master. Still, you would not necessarily know. Sometimes I'm fragile, vulnerable … susceptible to danger … to being squashed upon, like the flakes heralding snow.

Truth is often just as delicate, requiring wisdom-light, to illuminate its path. Be as wise as Solomon and as gentle as the snow. Manatita, 4th November, 2019

"The truth is not simply what you think it is; it is also the circumstances in which it is said, and to whom, why, and how it is said."

Václav Havel . 1936-2011 . Czech writer and dramatist, and politician

"The subconscious is ceaselessly murmuring, and it is by listening to these murmurs that one hears the truth."

Gaston Bachelard . 1884-1962 . French philosopher of science and literary critic . The poetics of the reverie

There is one Land of Truth! Many paths to reach there, but whichever pathway you take, you can arrive there only naked of everything but Love! The Lantern Carrier knows, and helps us with these paths, preparing us with the Light of his Heart, forming this Light to beautiful words and verses!

    Thank you for the Light!

Manitata, I know that I will quote this line even in my prayers: I die daily, to the pangs of the mundane. It's a sweet submission in exchange for the joys of Home. Excellent imagery also of the soul behind locked doors. and walking toward the sunlit path. Thanks for a good morning read.

Yes. Happy you said that, Shannon.

I am in fact a creative writer and have always been. Have you read my book? My Guru, Sri Chinmoy: Life and Teachings. I think I will soon focus on my other works: Blossoms of the Heart and Maxims For our Children: A Look at The Teachings of Jesus, The Christ. Thank you so much!

    Yes Peggy.

The cause is ignorance. We live in the scholarly mind of the Pharises, Sadduces, Doctors and Elders of the law. God simply wants us to live in our Hearts ... to be like children. To see a oneness- family and not a division- mind. Guys I thank you ALL!

Peggy, my sister is ill. I will be on your shores this week, God,s willing. Peace.

Thanks again, my Dear Linda. I will travel to Houston on Wednesday, God's Grace. Much Love

    Gratitude Nikki.

Don't worry about being late. So happy you appreciate my poems. Ruby is an angel true. Much Love.

    My dear Ruby.

So happy you came! Appreciations. Glad you love this special Hub for you. Love and Light.

Mary, you speak of a brotherhood. Awesome! Some religious are devout and spiritual. Some spiritual are wary of religion. The God-seeker knows that God is in all things.

The Creation is a projection of the Absolute. The earth is the Lord's and all who dwell in it. Nothing is without purpose.

Such a superb offering to our great fellow writer Ruby Jean Richert. She is a wonderful person as this poetry is. She spreads colours of Rainbow wherever she goes. I loved all the quotes from Sri Chinmoy, an angel of God, he is.

Thanks for making our Monday so bright with power of love and truth Manatita ji!

    Bless you!

Sorry for being late, was very busy today.

Manatita, am happy that you wrote here of the similarity in the different religions. Am glad that you highlighted the truth, the essence in each. Maybe, we can cement the brotherhood.

I agree with this quote that you shared with us. "If we live in our oneness-heart, we will feel the essence of all religions which is the love of God. Forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and the feeling of oneness are the signs of a true religion." -Sri Chinmoy

So many wars have been fought over religious ideas. Sadly, forgiveness, compassion, tolerance, brotherhood, etc. were never a part of it, or those wars would never have taken place. The entire world needs people like you to keep spreading the message of love.
