Barefoot Sigh Generation Machine
To nothing in particular...
By themselves sitting on the rock
Alone and waiting for the coming
Resting while reading the signs of the times
Everlasting wonder thrust into a little shell
Fearing all but afraid of only what is
Overpowered by the momentary relapse
Owning up to what is there for the giving
Time to face the vulture justice
Seeing what has been laid out in front
Intuitively wondering about the obvious
Grasping for what is readily at hand
Holding onto nothing when it is all said and done
Getting to the bottom of the well
Expecting to find the prophet but surprised
Now that he has found the man
Ever attendant but cut off
Realising the sum of all parts can never equal the whole
After all, didn't they tell him?
Time and time after time and time
Interlocked with the parts that are not seen
Oblique, still and piquant but in motion
Nothing new is old again
Many are the people who have said
All the things that have never been said
Carrying the shoes worn by traditionalists
Heeding the call of the new and the powerful
Indeed the times are all abuzz and abundant
Never less than now but never more than then
Expressions given now understood but still unseen
Hallelujah!
