CrisSp, nice to see you! It's really kind of you to take a look at my little poem, I'm glad you enjoyed it. If I remember correctly, this was my very first attempt at writing a haiku poem. Look like it stood the test of time. :)

      My very best to you.

Hi Jo, yes, butterflies are captivating.

The transformation from egg to caterpillar... and eventually to the incredible magical rebirth and yes, freedom... fascinating.

Lady bugs are pretty special also. Thank you for stopping by, much appreciated, my very best to you.

Just beautiful! You are a butterfly the way you can express so effortlessly the birth of freedom. Butterflies are my favorite. And lady bugs.

Anyway..just really enjoyable to read! Up & shared...

Suzette, isn't nature wonderful? I find the transition from awkward caterpillar to the delicate ephemeral butterfly fascinating. I'm glad you like the haiku, I should try writing some more.

Beautiful poem and haiku. The cycle of life for the monarch is amazing. Watching it burst forth from the cocoon is a wondrous sight. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

Molly, I think so, they both have the same fragile beauty that doesn't last for very long, and of course the butterfly can fly away. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

I especially love the first line, tobusiness. A butterfly *is* sort of a flying flower, isnt' it? Lovely hub!
