Beauty dark...A dark poem

Updated on August 14, 2012

Under a diamond sky

Your beauty enthrals

So many willing to die

For the lure of your call

Soft white ivory skin

Hair red like flame

Your smile pulling me in

Your heart too wild to tame

Like so many before

I can’t resist your dance

Nymph of the forest floor

Effortlessly weaving your trance

Lost in the unknown

I see nothing but your beauty

The call of reason long flown

As I fall to lust’s duty

But with each passionate touch

I see more and more of you

Screaming as it becomes too much

Unable to deny what’s true

Under the full moons light

Your beauty fades away

Your rotten smile filling my sight

My senses overwhelmed with decay

Horror replacing sweet dream

Still I move at you command

My only resistance in my screams

Unable to ever understand

With one last kiss

You turn away clad in false beauty

The taste of death on your glistening lips

Leaving me forgotten and empty….

...well you know how I love your dark poetic side - it has definitely influenced me in a very big way and I wrote a funny one the other day thinking about you called - Hag, Nag and Old Bag - which I thought you might like - and trust me - you are neither a hag, nag or old bag - lol - sending warm wishes to you as always and good energy too from lake erie time ontario canada and we are on the threshold of winter here at 5:43pm on a dark and cold night

I have always loved that scene from the first Conan the barbarian and maybe it was somewhat behind the inspiration for this poem :)
