A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed
When I needed a friend, and I couldn't find one,
God gently told me to believe in His Son,
Take all your cares, and cash them all in,
In return you are redeemed from your sin,
Believe in Jesus Christ my only begotten Son
In whom I am well pleased with above every one,
Hear Him through My Word to you,
He will provide all you need to make it through,
My grace is sufficient in all that you do,
His strength is made perfect in you,
My love drew you and still draws you now
Your heart and soul to Me you must bow
His blood is the cleansing flow and power,
My Spirit will purge you every second to the hour
A friend who sticks closer than any sister or brother
I choose You Jesus more than any other,
Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity
To choose Your only Son,
He is exalted high above every one.
