Between Breaths

Darkness cries

wishes fall upon soulful eyes

in shadows Nature

challenges, reminiscent of London’s fog

mindful of shared veiled pasts

dreams flicker revealing swirling paths

prints frozen in rock

clearly packed in falling snow

tucked behind curtained cliffs

two hearts beat an icy show

recycling memories

hackles raised prepared to attack

Between breaths:

eclipse

      Audrey and Shyron,

Thank you for not forgetting me. My life has been turned upside down, and I have not had wi-fi, only a data plan that does not work for net access most of the time. I am working hard to remedy that, so I can return to my beloved friends on HP. I have missed my HP family more than you might can imagine, but fingers crossed that will change soon. So many blessings to both of you and my HP family.

Thank you for not forgetting me. My life has been turned upside down and have had only a data plan and not wi-fi, so getting on HP has not been accessible. I am working hard to get internet, so than I can return to my beloved friends and fellow artists on HP. So many blessings to you and all the HP family.

Thank You Audrey! I had hoped to have another system in place by now, but other necessities have taken the money I had put aside for the computer. Thank You for not forgetting me. I try to get on HP and leave comments, and like right now, I am able to do so. But then the computer crashes

I am the Jane come lately then. Thank you for calling this one "cool." Yes. NC is in terrible blizzard and you should definitely check on your niece. She is in area where many have lost power. Yeah! I will pull for the Panthers. Smiles.

Good to hear from you Kim. So good to hear about your son releasing a new CD. That is exciting and I'm sure your hard work is appreciated. So sorry to hear about your mom. My condolences. Losing someone dear is not easy. I hope yourcnew year has started out well. So far so good for me. Lol! Take care Kim.

      Suzette,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I just can't seem to get my hub page groove back. There are so many hubs I need to read like yours for example...I have been having computer issues for one thing. Hoping Santa might help me out with that because my computer crashes daily which causes me to lose motivation. Since losing mama back in May, I just have not had much mojo. I have, however, been staying busy promoting my son, Joseph Houck who just released his first cd, "Roam" in November. I am finding that is helping. Don't give up on me. I will return to my beloved hub family. And, I so want to wish you a big Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, too. And CONGRATULATIONS on your new blog.

      Blessings,

      Kim

      mckbirdbks,

I am not sure what you referring to with the link. The one I have posted on this page is the one (at least when I clicked it to check after reading your comment) links back to Genna's Challenge hub. Thanks for reading.

      Genna,

Thank you for being okay with my contribution and for all of your kind words.

      John,

I was hoping someone would catch the allusion to London. Smiles...

      Theresa,

Thanks You and HUGS right back.

      RQ,

      Thank You.

      Vellur,

      Thanks so much.

I wrote this comment on the challenge hub: Wow! Your poem is amazing, Kim. And written with your own unique style. Bravo, my friend. I thought about the word length as the one rule for this challenge. I was worried that writers of Haiku might be discouraged if other poems were far lengthier. And, many of the best poems I've read on the Hub are less than 80 words in length. You are an example of this, my poet friend. Thank you. :-)
