Between you and me, are our three kids,
The rest of this relationship is on the skids.
Putting dollar signs for child support
We are completely out of sorts.
Between you and me is animosity and strain
I'm having trouble letting go of this pain.
We just continue to beat this dead horse
It's time to take this inevitable course.
Between you and me, is parental cooperation and doing what is right
In plain view of our children's sight.
They know we aren't perfect goody two shoes
But do right by them is what we should do.
Between you and me, I believe in the Role Model Theory
Handling this positively is what they should see
Seeing and hearing what we do
Should prevent them from being blue.
Between you and me, I wish there were another way
But I can't change how I feel and you have nothing else to say
We will always be connected our kids, you and I.
But this looks like the year we will have to say good-bye.
