Beyond Good-bye
Beyond Good-bye
Funny she’s still here
After all these years
Pleading for a baby sitter
And remembrance
Perhaps an embrace
Expecting what was
To still be
Like before
When she left the home broken
The child her mere token
To play you like
Rhapsody in blue
And have your family
Laughing
While she’s dancing
To an old rhythm out of tune
Trying to save face
With ego so strong
Even the lion is embarrassed
To be her mascot
Mane worn
Claws once sharp –broken
Looking like a pussy
Whose been homeless
Scratching on doors
To escape her existence
Reality blisters
While you’re withering
In your ruins
Future predictable
No need for the crystal ball
When you look in the mirror
Remember my face
And say Hi
