Billybuc's Photo Challenge/Prompt #5

Updated on April 22, 2020

Are You Ready for Another Challenge?

Are you ready to hone your craft? I’ve got a few photos for you, just in case you are looking for some inspiration during lockdown. For those of you new to the challenge, there are no prizes attached. I wish I had something to give you but alas, I am just a humble, struggling writer, and we all know that’s a recipe for poverty if there ever was one.

This is just for fun, so put on your party hat and get ready to create.

The Rules

There are none! For those of you who need structure, you are out of luck. I say throw structure to the winds and just let your creativity flow.

If you should choose to take part in this exercise, I would only ask that you notify me via email at holland1145@yahoo.com and let me know you submitted an entry so I can look for it.

That’s it! Take part or don’t take part. It’s all up to you.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and do all things with love.

Bill

PHOTOS

Use one or use them all. This is just for practice and fun, so don’t get hung-up on the particulars.

Bill, I didn't really use this prompt the way intended, but the first photo of Bair Drug and Hardware stuck with me and brought back memories of another photo I had used in a story I wrote some years ago. I have retrieved that story from where it was languishing unread and republished it here on HubPages. Here is the link: https://letterpile.com/creative-writing/The-Blue-G...

Bill - I worked for far too long on this, but once I started (which now feels like weeks and weeks ago) I had to mess with it a little bit each day. A solution to my ending problem finally presented itself today, so I ran with it. Thanks for the great challenge. It's called "We Came Ashore in Steilacoom."

Hi Bill. I like those photos (an intriguing combination that to me evokes a mystery story), and wish I could participate. Having barely enough time to read and comment on hubs due to long work hours these days, I will have to pass on this one. But I look forward to reading the responses. :-)

Very interesting photo prompts. I look forward to reading everyone's submissions. I've taken on a new project that I'm working on, plus, my tenants moved out of my last rental property and trashed the place. Wish I could participate, but I just don't have time to be creative right now. Sorry.

Fine, my cheeky friend, I changed it to "a few." I hope you are happy, Ann! lol

I actually caught that mistake just before I published it,but I was distracted by a customer's email, and I forgot to correct it. Thanks for reminding me.

It is a house I used before. Great memory! I love that town and that house. Stunning architecture up close.

      Have fun, my friend.

I've only just caught up and you throw out another one!

Seriously, this is fun. That house looks like the one you used for a challenge some time back but from a different angle. Am I right?

Anyway, I'm going to try to link all three (I've decided you can't count as, to me, a couple means two!). Sorry, that's a bit cheeky.

So I'm going to make a few notes straight away while my ideas are crashing about in this brain of mine, then I'll hone away a bit later.

More glorious sunshine here - the birds are singing even more loudly so it's wonderful.

Thanks for keeping us on our toes, bill! Keep safe and well.
