Setting Priorities

Sorry it's been a while since i posted i took a break to figure out some things and get my head straight that is exactly what inspired today's post, so without further ado let's begin

Priorities are the things that you think are most important and need your attention first.

The world we live in today is like an ocean and people are boats on the ocean, now a boat that has no direction will continue to roam about the ocean forever and this is exactly why so many people take their talents and abilities to the grave. Your priorities should be your drive and direction. So ask yourself what are my priorities, as a person, as a Christian, as a muslim what are your priorities? See the first step to downfall is misplaced priorities.

So many people today just go with the flow which is very amusing to ne because i grew up with the knowledge that only fishes go with the flow. Things don't just happen, we have to make things happen, you can't expect to skip the process of submitting applications and then be expecting jobs or admissions or scholarships. Some people are also like pieces of paper wherever the wind blows, they follow. Nobody becomes successful by just going with the wind. So i ask again what are your priorities?

Priorities don't give way for other things, other things give way for priorities. A person without a priority or priorities is a like a moving car with no driver there's only one thing bound to happen and then again there are some people who have way too many priorities but what they don't know is

What do you want to be known for? What do you want to stand for, it's time to straighten up and focus.

Life has so many tempting offers to sway you away from your priorities but it's up to you to stand firm. The world will never give you a place if you don't work for it. When i started writing i wondered what do i really want to do, sometimes i get tired or stuck on a particular article but everytime i pick my pen i remember my priority at that moment is to deliver a message one that people understand and relate with. That's for me anyway it could be different for you. Think about that thing you want to achieve so your focus is on your goals rather than your past. Remember it's not about where you're coming from but where you're going to, create a mental picture of your ideal future; your best future and go for it.

Setting priorities will help you choose which tasks you want to concentrate on and which ones should be postponed, disregarded or given to someone else.

And as all things are, not everyone will understand what you're pushing for, but remember it's up to you. The way some people become successful today is the same way some people become forgotten tomorrow. This is a wake up call, the sky is big enough for your shine , so start setting priorities and then achieve them.
